This policy explains how Ask AI Anywhere (“AskAI”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit askaianywhere.com, use our service as a website owner (“you”), or talk to an AskAI assistant on a website that uses it (“visitors”).
1. Who is responsible
AskAI is operated by Ask AI Anywhere. For website owners’ visitors, the website owner decides to use AskAI on their website; we process visitor information on the website owner’s behalf to provide the assistant.
2. Information we collect
From website owners
- Account details: name, email, business name, website address, and billing information handled by our payment provider.
- Your confirmation that a website is yours, with your name and the time.
- Questions and answers you write, and settings you choose.
From your website
- The public content of your website, read after you confirm it is yours: page text, titles, addresses, published details and links to images.
- We follow robots.txt and noindex, and never read account, login, cart, checkout or password pages, or content you exclude.
From visitors
- Messages sent to the assistant and its answers.
- The page the visitor is on when they ask (address, title, headings, published details, nearby text). Never form fields, typed text, cookies or browser storage.
- Contact details a visitor chooses to send through the contact form in the chat, after being told what will be shared.
- Technical information for security and abuse prevention (for example a hashed form of the network address and browser type). We do not store raw IP addresses for this purpose.
- On confirmed websites: which public pages were viewed and whether they look changed, without any visitor identity. If the visitor is signed in to the website, only the page address and title.
From people who contact us
Details you send through our forms or by email, such as name, email, website and message.
3. How we use information
- To provide the assistant: learn the website, answer visitors, deliver leads to the website owner.
- To protect the service: human checks, abuse and spam prevention, usage limits.
- To run your account: billing, support and service emails.
- To improve answer quality and reliability.
We do not sell personal information.
4. AI processing
Answers are written with the help of third-party AI model providers. We send them only what is needed to answer a question: the question, relevant excerpts from the website, page details and recent conversation.
5. Sharing
We share information with service providers who help us run AskAI (hosting, network protection, email delivery, payments, AI model providers), under agreements that protect it. Leads are sent to the website owner the visitor contacted. We may disclose information when required by law.
6. Storage and retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide the service. When a website owner closes their account, what the assistant learned from their website is deleted.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections, protected infrastructure, monitoring and access controls. See Security & privacy.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by emailing support@askaianywhere.com. Visitors of a website that uses AskAI can also contact that website’s owner.
9. Website owners’ responsibilities
If you add AskAI to your website, you are responsible for telling your visitors about it in your own privacy policy — for example: “Our website uses an AI assistant that answers questions from the content of our website. It sees the page you are on to answer questions about it; it never reads what you type into our forms.”
10. Children
AskAI is not directed at children, and website owners should not use it to collect children’s information.
11. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top.
