Install on Shopify

On Shopify the line goes into your theme layout so it appears on every storefront page.

Steps

  1. In your AskAI dashboard, open Install on your website and copy your script line. It already contains your own site key.
  2. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes. Next to your current theme, open the … menu and choose Edit code.
  3. Open layout/theme.liquid.
  4. Paste the line just above the closing </body> tag and Save.
  5. Open your storefront and check that the AskAI button appears.
  6. Back in your dashboard, press Check installation. When it says the line was found, the assistant starts learning your website.

Good to know

  • If you switch or update your theme, add the line to the new theme too.
  • Cart, checkout and account pages are never learned, and the assistant never reads what shoppers type.
  • It answers from your public store pages. It cannot see orders or customer accounts.
